This climb was made special due to the wonderful team we had, comprised mostly of students from the Phoenix Country Day School we also had members from Colorado and Pennsylvania.
Climbing eight days in the rain up the Machame route we were elated to finally reach the summit of which 14/19 made the top. Making this climb extra special for me was summiting with my 62 year-old mother. Just after the climb we spent a week on safari visiting the Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara, and the Tarangerie National Parks.
